Ads Calculator

Use the free Ads Calculator on ToolVexa to check return on ad spend and return on investment for a campaign. Enter your spend and revenue, press Calculate, and your results appear straight away.

How to Use

Enter the total amount spent on ads and the total revenue you can link to those ads, both in dollars, then press Calculate. The result shows ROAS, ROI and profit.

Formula in Plain Words

ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend. ROI is revenue minus spend, divided by spend, times 100. Profit is simply revenue minus spend.

Worked Example

For ad spend of $500 and revenue of $2,500, ROAS is 2,500 divided by 500, which is 5.0x. ROI is 2,500 minus 500, which is 2,000, divided by 500, times 100, which is 400%. Profit is $2,000.

FAQs

What is a good ROAS?

It depends on margins and goals. A ROAS above 1 means revenue exceeds ad spend, but you still need to cover other costs to be profitable overall.

Is ROAS the same as ROI?

No. ROAS compares revenue with spend, while ROI compares profit with spend. In the example, ROAS is 5.0x and ROI is 400%.

Should I include agency fees?

For a full picture, yes. Put all ad-related costs in the spend box, not only the amount paid to the ad platform.
