Age Calculator

Use the free Age Calculator on ToolVexa to work out your exact age in years, months and days. Pick your date of birth, press Calculate, and your age appears straight away.

How to Use

Choose your date of birth from the calendar box, then press Calculate. If you leave the second box blank, the calculator uses today as the end date. You can also pick a future or past end date to see your age on that day.

Formula in Plain Words

Your age is the time between your date of birth and the chosen date. First count the full years, then the full months left over, then the remaining days, borrowing days from the previous month when the day of the month has not yet been reached.

Worked Example

For a date of birth of 1 January 2000 and an end date of 24 October 2026, the full years are 26, the remaining months are 9, and the remaining days are 23, so the age is 26 years, 9 months and 23 days.

FAQs

Does the calculator use today if I leave the second box blank?

Yes. Leaving the second box blank uses the current date, so the result is your age today.

Why is the day count not simply the difference in days?

Because months have different lengths, the calculator counts whole months first and then the days left over, which gives a result that reads naturally as years, months and days.

Can I check my age on a past date?

Yes. Enter that date in the second box, as long as it is after your date of birth, and the calculator will show your age on that date.
