Use the free Action Network Odds Calculator & Converter on ToolVexa to convert American odds to decimal odds and work out profit and total payout for a stake.
How to Use
Enter American odds and a stake, then press Calculate to see the decimal odds, profit and total payout.
Formula in Plain Words
For negative odds, decimal odds equal 1 plus 100 divided by the size of the odds. For positive odds, decimal odds equal 1 plus the odds divided by 100. Profit uses the same American-odds rule as a standard odds calculator, and payout is stake plus profit.
Worked Example
With odds of -110 and a $100 stake, decimal odds are 1 + 100 / 110 = 1.91, profit is $90.91 and total payout is $190.91.
FAQs
What are decimal odds?
Decimal odds show the total payout for a $1 stake, including the stake itself. Decimal odds of 1.91 mean a $1 stake returns $1.91 in total if the bet wins.
Why do negative odds convert to a smaller decimal number?
Negative odds mark a favourite, so the payout per dollar staked is smaller than for an underdog.
Is this tied to any sportsbook?
No. This is a general odds converter and calculator, not a betting account or a bookmaker tool.
